Artist's Comments
the Rantinox is a daedra that serves the Daedric Lord Hircine in his plane of Oblivion. They are charged with guarding his settlements, towns, and forts, as well as patrol the paths of his hunting grounds. They stand seven feet tall and have fine black and drown fur with golden nails and a rams skull helm at the basic soldier rank and are loyal to no other prince but Hircine. Any Rantinox will gladly die over and over for the safety of their lord.
Hircine has given them the ability to regenerate, resist magic and normal weapons, and to summon packs of wolves to aid them in battle. Their spears have been dipped in Pine Gnarl sap which acts as a poison, causing the enemy to become weak and slowly freezes the blood.
Unlike the other Deadra that serve Hircine, the Rantinox is the only one that doesnt take trophies or covets riches, for service to their god is all they care about. Because of this, Hircine holds them in highest reguard, angering some of the other, less honorable Daedra.
